Lauren | Teacher

Lauren Paige is a recent graduate of the Falmouth University Musical Theatre course, and a familiar face to our summer camps.

She is looking forward to bringing her experiences teaching at our camps to her weekly classes.

She has always loved singing and performing and is super excited to work with the kids, passing on all the theatre techniques she has picked up on her journey as a performer so far onto the next generation of stars

Karl | Teacher

Coffee order is just regular bland latte. I’ve been at shining stars since 2017 and my favourite thing about it is watching the kids confidence grow and seeing life long friendships form

In my spare time I am a bit of a nerd. I cosplay, I got to comic conventions, I play Dungeons & Dragons. Outside of the nerdy stuff I love going to the cinema, I do a lot of running & scuba diving and most importantly trying to keep my Border Collie Loki happy & healthy.

My boring normal day job is being mechanical engineer in the water utilities industry.

Clemmie

Clemmie currently trains in Musical Theatre privately and hopes to continue her training at advanced levels in the future. She started dance training at the age of 3 at Susan Handy’s School of Dance, where she took initially took Ballet and then went on to learn different styles such as Contemporary, Modern, Commercial, Jazz, Street dance and Acro. Clemmie continued her dance training for the next 12 years until she took up Musical Theatre at Pauline Quirke Academy and she became part of the Repertory Theatre Project Acting group. Through these academies, Clemmie has had the chance to perform at a variety of shows such as National Theatre plays, Musicals, Ballets and Pantomimes with a personal highlight of hers being performing at His Majesty’s Theatre – West End.

Clemmie has been teaching at Shining Star Performing Arts since January 2024, leading weekly classes and teaching at holiday camps/workshops.
Clemmie loves seeing the student’s pride in their achievements and seeing them enjoying their performances, building in confidence each week at classes too. She enjoys teaching them the skills, knowledge and passion of the Performing Arts. Her all time favourite moments are when student’s practice at home ready for class!
